The Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20) is “go and make disciples of all nations”. When Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ) gave Himself up as a sacrifice for sin the curtain in the Temple was torn in two from top to bottom (Luke 23:44-49). The way was opened, for all who put their faith in Him, to grow in personal relationship with the One True God.

Recognising this, the Tishrei Bible study programme is in accord with Ephesians 4:12-13:
He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

A mentor is a mature believer who helps another disciple grow in relationship with God. The student is encouraged to become fruitful by exercising the Spiritual gifts and ministries that God has given.

Mentoring is best accomplished through personal contact in a local community. It can be partly facilitated through correspondence via internet or other means of communication. The Tishrei ministry is committed to such a mentoring programme by offering resources for study and personal contact with mentors. The courses of study contained in this web site provide a doorway into the Tishrei programme. Thereafter, we have other courses available for further study, which will be made available at an appropriate time.

Please send an e-mail as soon as you begin to study any of the Tishrei courses, and we will go from there. Our e-mail address is on the Contact page. Initial contact will be with Dr Clifford Denton, the founding editor of the Tishrei journal and coordinator of the mentoring programme. Dr Clifford Denton was awarded his BA and MA at the University of Cambridge. His D.Phil. is from the University of Oxford, where his research was related to the education of gifted children. Since the mid-1980s he has ministered in a number of countries, especially concerned to understand the times and strengthen believers for the days ahead. He has been on the staff of a number of Bible schools, including the Bible College of Wales.
