Conference: Saturday 5th April
Following many months of preparations and with ever changing new challenges to Christian Education, we are glad to announce that The Cedars will host a conference in cooperation with Christian Education Europe (CEE) on Saturday 5th April.
At The Cedars, we offer enrichment programmes to complement basic curriculums, particularly meaningful to families engaged in home schooling. CEE offer well developed and widely accepted resources for home education and a Bible-based curriculum called ACE (Accelerated Christian Education).
On 5th April, we will present updates on the current challenges for Christian Education and a case for parents to consider alternative means of ensuring their children’s education is founded on Christian principles.

Victory in Europe – Remembering VE Day: Wednesday 7th May, 7-9pm
Many celebrations of the end of World War 2 will be held across our nation on Thursday 8th May, the 80th anniversary of the victory in Europe (VE Day). We will host a time of reflection, thanksgiving and prayer at The Cedars from 7pm to 9pm on Wednesday 7th May. The programme will include:
Connecting with the past, using memorabilia from the 1940s and 1950s.
Reflecting on the war, considering the character of Britain in the war years and the early post-war years.
Asking questions about God’s covenant purpose at that time and considering His purpose in our own day, when the world seems to be preparing for war again.
The testimony of intercessory prayer at the Bible College of Wales and when the nation was called to national days of prayer.
Prayer for the nation, the Christian Church and for Israel.
It is necessary to have an idea of the number of people planning to attend. Please contact us at admin@cedarsfoundation.org.uk if you would like to come.
In addition to the evening meeting, above, we offer times of prayerful reflection to individuals and small groups during the afternoon on 7th May: hourly sessions from 2pm to 6pm. Please contact us as soon as possible to book for this.
Study of the Bible
Our Bible School courses strengthen an understanding of the whole of Scripture, founded on the Old Testament (Torah, Prophets and Writings), and fulfilled in the New Testament. We recommend the study of the first five books of the Old Testament as the foundation of all Scripture and value the weekly cycle of readings according to the tradition at the time of Jesus. We seek to draw relevance to today from these ancient Scriptures and see how the patterns of themes develop through the entire Bible. Last year we published weekly studies, each one focussed in some way on family. They can be found in the School of Biblical Family Life section of the website: www.tishrei.org This year, we are publishing occasional studies. The latest study is at The Ministry of Intercession: from Aaron to Yeshua. – Tishrei
If you would like to participate in in-depth Bible study at The Cedars, please contact us on admin@cedarsfoundation.org.uk and we will inform you of future courses and opportunities.
